Somehow it's mid February and I'm not sure where the time has gone.  Presidents' Day is right around the corner and it's time to pull out my Presidents' Day Activity Pack.  This includes everything you'll need to properly teach your "littles" about President Washington and President Lincoln and have some fun, too!

Five for Friday and a B2S FREEBIE

AND... just like that, summer is over.  I'm heading back to school on Monday and I'm NOT ready.  I created an easy weekly planner that I will be using to keep myself organized. I had something similar last year but wanted a little something different for this year.  I'll just keep this on my clip board and jot down things to keep me on track.  Here's the link to download it for FREE.  Let me know what you think.

If you follow me on Instagram, you saw that this summer we went on a nine day road trip to Kentucky to tour the Bourbon Trail.  I DO NOT drink dark liquor, but since I'm a good sport I smiled as the mister and I toured SEVEN distilleries!!!  It was worth it because we got to take this little cutie along with us.

I was very lazy this summer but I did manage to get in some Cross Fit about 5-6 days a week.  Has anyone else drank the Cross Fit kool-aid?

This was my personal record for my back squat.

Last week I attended the Tennessee Education Association's training to become a Candidate Support Provider.  So basically I'll be able to mentor new NBCT candidates and get paid.  We've always helped candidates but never got paid, so I'm pretty excited.  

This is my 9th year as a NBCT and I just renewed in May.  Has anyone else renewed yet?

End of the Year and some FREEBIES

How did this happen?  It's the end of May already!  Don't get me wrong, I'm ready for summer but WOW.

Veteran's Day Resources and a FREEBIE

Veteran's Day can sadly come and go unnoticed in the classroom, between and excitement of Halloween and the Thanksgiving activities that we start in early November.  Let's not let that happen this year.

We can start by defining "Veteran's Day,"  which can be confused with Memorial Day.  Both holidays were established to honor and recognize men and women in the US military, but each day is a little different.   Veteran's Day is observed November 11, each year and is intended to thank and honor all those who served honorably in the military in both times of war and peace.  This is a way of thanking living Veterans for their service and to acknowledge their contributions and sacrifices, while remembering those who may have lost their lives in service.   Memorial Day, on the other hand, is observed the last Monday of May each year and is set aside as a day for remembering and honoring military personnel who have died in battle or as a result of wounds sustained in battle.

Halloween and some FREEBIES

Yikes...October and fall weather all in the same week!!  Wow, I'm not sure I was ready for both!

This morning I finished up some Halloween logic puzzles for my little ones.  I always try to have some higher order, deductive reasoning packets in their folders for them to work on with they finish an assignment early.  I like to customize them to the season, or in this case the holiday. You can grab them in my store.

These are perfect for little learners that are new to solving logic puzzles. There are five 4X4 grid logic puzzles included in this product and of course, I've included answer keys.

Labor Day Travel Fun

WOW...where did the summer go??!!!  Most of us are back in school and getting back into the routine of things.  This is week five for me and I'm ready for the long weekend. Tell me I'm not alone!!!

Is anyone traveling with the kiddos for Labor Day?  Nothing like a little road trip, right?  Ok, maybe not!!  But...I have a fun "distraction" for the little ones. I just happened upon this little freebie from I Heart Organizing.

My kinders are working on the lifecycle of frogs, so I whipped up a little cut and paste lifecycle sudoku.  I made two versions, one is a little easier than the other.  I added them to my Pond Research and Creative Writing Activities.  If you already own it, you need to download the updated version.

I have NOT added the two sudokus to the preview pictured above. :-(

During the BIG Teacher are Heroes sale I purchased way too much clip art.  I heart Educlips stuff and one of the new sets I bought was her spring clip art set.  I couldn't wait to make something with it, so I came up with these cute spring themed book marks.  You can print them on colored card stock or white and allow the littles to color.  Either way would be super cute.  Here they are and they are FREE, just for you!!!  Let me know how you decide to use them.

Those of you that follow me on Instagram already know this but, the Starburst flavored jelly beans at Target jumped into my basket.....darn it!!!  I managed to eat all of the strawberry ones out of one bag before I even made it to school.  Oops

I've been working on a big earthworm study with my 1st graders.  We've been having so much fun.  I'm trying everything out and making some tweaks before I post it to my TPT store.  Here's a sneak peek.
